NIC Holdings Appoints Prof. Sejjaka, Mwebaze To Its Board

NIC Holdings Limited has appointed Professor Samuel Sejjaka and Simon Kusiima Mwebaze as Non-Executive Directors, in a change that also sees two directors leave the company’s board.

Sejjaka and Mwebaze join the board with experience in corporate governance, finance, investment management and strategic leadership.

The company says their experience will add to the board’s oversight and support the company’s growth and long-term strategy.

The appointments come alongside the exit of Akinlolu Akinyele and Bayo Folayan, who have served as Non-Executive Directors.

The company thanked Akinyele and Folayan for their contribution to the board and their role in the company’s governance and development. NIC Holdings welcomed the two new directors and said it looks forward to their contribution as the company continues to grow its business.

The changes mark a fresh reshaping of the leadership at one of Uganda’s established insurance companies, with the new directors expected to bring their experience to the board’s strategic and oversight functions.
