Outgoing Finance Minister Matia Kasaija has handed over ofice to the New Finance Minister Henry Musasizi, following his appointment during a major cabinet reshuffle by President Yoweri Museveni.
On the same occasion, Musasizi handed over the Office of the State Minister for General Duties to Cissy Mulondo. Also present were Amos Lugoloobi who retained his docket of Minister of State for Planning and Amina Mukalazi who assumed Office of Minister of State for Investment and Privatisation early this week.
The Outgoing Minister Kasaija in his remarks said he has enjoyed working at Finance Ministry and urged the new political leadership under to work closely with the technical team to achieve the expected results.
He said the economy is growing and nobody or anything should be allowed to disrupt this steady growth.
Incoming Finance Minister Musasizi applauded Kasaija for laying a firm foundation upon which the Ministry has been able to achieve its development objectives and to be effective. He called upon his fellow Ministers to work as a team to support the President achieve his Vision.
