Stanbic Bank Uganda has appointed Mumba Kenneth Kalifungwa as chief executive officer and board member, effective March 1, 2025, following regulatory approval.

Mumba, who has nearly 30 years of professional experience, including 20 years in senior banking roles, has worked in Botswana, Zambia, and Uganda.

Mumba has focused his career on business development, risk management, strategy formulation, and finance strategy in Uganda.

Mumba holds a master’s in business administration from Heriot-Watt University in Scotland and is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants.

Stanbic Bank said Mumba’s expertise will drive growth, innovation, and improved customer satisfaction in the coming years.
